Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013I've been at the gym now for about 8 months. My wife works out there in the classes and we both see Mike Quinata for Structual Integration Physical Therapy. Mike is by far the best practitioner ever. He's referred by Osteopath Doctors too treat their patients. Mike is ALWAYS friendly and is the definition of customer service.
You can't do better for a family gym and good physical therapy than Countrywood Fitness and Mike Quinata.
Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013I really enjoy the low key atmosphere at CountryWood Fitness. I roll out of bed and hit the gym, no muss no fuss! It has a friendly clientele who are into working out, not being "seen". The staff are always upbeat and personable. I love it here!
Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013What makes Countrywood Fitness really stand out for me is that it's got a small footprint, has a very personable owner (hey Mike!) and isn't crowded like many other Fitness Clubs.
It's super clean and the staff is very friendly and responsive to any requests (such as music change). You can even change the music yourself when it's not busy during the middle of the day.
Feels like home!
Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013I've been with this gym through a few ownership changes - first as Butterfly Life, then as Drop Ten Fitness. With new owners and a new name, CountryWood Fitness is FINALLY the gym I have been looking for! If you like the corporate feel of the big name gyms, CountryWood Fitness is not for you. If you want to work out in a small, clean, coed facility where the owner greets you by name then definitely check it out. Mike, one of the co-owners, is also my personal trainer and his knowledge of the human anatomy is astounding! His emphasis on core stability and flexibility has greatly decreased my recovery time and improved my balance. In fact, he's so good that I get to the gym at 4:45 in the morning to work out with him! I'm pretty sure they let you do a few free workouts and a complimentary training session, and their prices are very reasonable.
Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013I have been going to CountryWood Fitness since March. The place is clean and has enough equipment to satisfy the biggest fitness nut. Mike Q, the co-owner, knows everyone name and goes out of his way to make your time in the "gym" enjoyable. I have some debilitating physical issues and Mike is great at working on my body to get my mussels and nerves talking to each other. If you want to keep in shape in a place where 'everybody knows your name", CountryWood is the place.
Created on Sunday, 17 February 2013Mike Quinata is a miracle worker! I threw my back out last week, he squeezed me in for an appt on the same day and worked his miracle stretching and opening up my joints. I went for a follow up appt 6 days later and WOW NO pain! Normally this back injury would have me flat on my back in excruciating pain for weeks but with Mike's help..6 days and NO pain! Along with his wonderful, comfortable welcoming fitness center he offers his (I like to refer to as) "miracle" stretching for a fraction of what you pay chiropractors, massage therapists or acupuncture. I feel great and owe it all to Mike! Keep up the good work and I hope you never leave Walnut Creek! We all love you Mike!
